I’ve already determined that I’m going to have to find other things to take pictures of and include on my blog. Why? Because I am such a ‘creature of habit’ when it comes to my food choices. Once I find something I enjoy for a meal, I tend to eat it pretty frequently (usually daily) until I get tired of it. ~ Classic example…yesterday I had Banana & String Cheese in the morning. Guess what I had today when I got up…1/2 banana & 1/2 a string cheese. Yesterday I had a turkey sandwich for lunch that was so yummy. Guess what I had today…yep, turkey sandwich again! Only change-up today was that I added a 1/2 can of peas into the mix instead of yogurt.
See what I mean? I eat the same things because I just think they taste so darn good. I’ll work on trying to get different things mixed in each day, so I can keep my posts more exciting!
One thing I did add in today that I haven’t yet introduced you to, is Crystal Light Energy! I had one today after my lunch.
I used to have at least 1 of these each day. It is just like any other single serving Crystal Light packet, but it has ‘Caffeine’ in it for a boost of energy. Ever since I started drinking Xe Energy, I have NOT been adding this to any of my water throughout the day. However, this morning I didn’t do a workout – so I didn’t drink an Xe Energy – which led to a bit of an ‘energy crash’ after I ate lunch, which is why I opted for the extra energy today by returning to the good ‘ol Crystal Light. It tastes super SWEET (although it doesn’t have any sugar in it, just sugar substitute) so it also acts as a way to calm a sweet tooth when I have one!
Moving on…no word on Little Katie today. I am so bummed. I was definitely hoping I would hear something today. She is just too precious & I want her to be mine because we could have so much fun together. And she would have a great little friend to play with…Little Lilly! ~ my sister’s puppy who I call a ‘toddler’ because she just recently turned 2 years old.
Check this out…it came in the mail this morning!
BodyPUMP Release 80 Initial Training Materials!! I’m so excited to get busy learning all the tracks. Today I started by watching the entire DVD (not doing the routine, just watching)…and WOAH! It is definitely going to be CHALLENGING. But I’m ready to accept the challenge and work hard in the next week-and-a-half to be prepared for the two day training. ~ BodyPUMP Release 80 here I come!
I had to be at work tonight at 4, so I spent most of the day preparing things for the ‘JumpStart to Nutrition & Fitness’ program that I am helping teach at the YMCA on Tuesdays/Thursdays. I also ran to the store to pick up a few things we needed here at home, such as:
We go through Bananas like crazy at our house. Mom & I both eat at least one or two a day!
The grapes were an impulse buy. Mainly because I wanted something to munch on during my little drive home that was healthy & crunchy!
Oh, the Cauliflower was an impulse buy also. It was on sale for $1.44 ~ a GREAT deal for that yummy veggie! It will probably be part of lunch or supper tomorrow!
The Peter Pan PB was a must, but it is a new Natural version that Peter Pan just came out with. It has NO high fructose corn syrup, NO hydrogenated oils in it, and NO added sugars ~ which is a HUGE plus! I am so excited to try it. I seriously looked at every PB the store had & analyzed each one’s Nutrition Facts label before I decided on this Peter Pan Natural PB. I was in that particular section for a good 10 minutes. LOL.
Lastly, the SF (sugar free) Double chocolate Jello pudding is to tame the sweet tooth that I sometimes get in the evenings (mainly on days I don’t have SHAKEOLOGY for lunch). Each serving has 60 calories & 1.5 grams of fat. And they taste absolutely DELICOUS!
Supper tonight included 1/2 a Shakeology shake that I made before work, took with me to work, and drank on the way home from work. Although, I was so COLD after drinking half of it, that I opted to save the other half for after BodyPUMP tomorrow morning & warm up the rest of my peas I had left from lunch today. I topped them with some FF spray butter & LF parmesan after making sure they were nice & HOT to warm me up! They tasted so good, as always.
After my excellent ARC Trainer workout tonight at the YMCA, the peas & 1/2 a shake weren’t enough to satisfy me. So dessert included a piece of Aunt Millie’s toast with SF Jelly on top & a single serving container of SF Double Chocolate Jello Pudding, courtesy of today’s trip to the store!
Well, I’m off to review some BodyPUMP & read Made to Crave before I hit the sack. Hopefully I’ll be able to report some good news about Little Katie Pup tomorrow evening! Stay tuned!
